In Maryland, as throughout the United States, it is illegal to sexually harass or discriminate based on various protected classifications in the workplace.
Training Requirements
Maryland does not have an express sexual harassment statute or regulation mandating training to private-sector employment.
Training is required for all State employees. Training must be for at least two (2) hours within six (6) months of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
EEO Training, LLC recommends all employers in the United States, regardless of size and location, provide sexual harassment and discrimination training to all new hires (including contractors) and on a regular, periodic basis.
