New Jersey
In New Jersey, as throughout the United States, it is illegal to sexually harass or discriminate based on various protected classifications in the workplace.
Training Requirements
New Jersey does not have an express sexual harassment statute or regulation mandating training to private-sector employment. New Jersey Supreme Court cases held this to be a factor in assessing liability.
New Jersey State employees do have to have training within six (6) months of hire and every two (2) years thereafter).
EEO Training, LLC recommends all employers in the United States, regardless of size and location, provide sexual harassment and discrimination training to all new hires (including contractors) and on a regular, periodic basis.
